The PMSA has introduced the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme to develop a culture of continuing education, thereby enhancing the professionalism of the property management industry. The PMSA has been conducting research on the CPD schemes of the Recognized Professional Bodies (RPBs), other statutory organisations and different professional bodies in order to formulate the framework for recognized CPD activities or courses and draw up the requirements in respect of prescribed CPD hours.
Property management work involves multiple areas and has to deal with such matters at various levels. In order to enhance the knowledge of the practitioners about different aspects of the property management industry, the PMSA has been co-organising training programmes in respect of property management with other organisations, Government departments and public bodies with a view to further promoting the sustainable development of the property management industry. Themes of the training programmes cover professional knowledge, regulations and management practices, which seek to encourage practitioners to keep up-to-date about property management skill set and technical knowhow, so that practitioners could provide the public with more professional and better quality property management services.
Property management licensees can earn CPD hours through participation in PMSA’s training programmes.
